Creating Multi-Color Appliqu
Page: 1/1 Creating Multi-Color Appliqu?s
Author: Bikr ![]() My day, Wednesday, started off as any normal day of mine. I slept in late, got up, checked my email and watched TV. I noticed my old case sitting in the corner, and the window looked boring without an appliqu?. I had planned on going to the local vinyl decal shop and getting something printed up for it; however, I wanted to do something different. This is what I came up with. ![]() It's really easy to do, too. What you need to do is load up your favorite graphics program, and get your image all ready to go. You'll need to print a few times to make sure that the size is correct. Once it's ready to go, save it as 24 bit bitmap and save it to a disk, if it fits, or CD, and take it to your local Kinko?s. Tell them you want it printed out on a transparency. This is what they?ll hand you. ![]() Take that sheet and place it onto your window. Align it how you want to, and then use scotch tape to adhere it to the unseen trim of your window- the part that hangs over the case edge that isn't visible from the outside, like this. ![]() There you have it. I haven't added light to this case yet, but I'm sure it'll look rad with a blue tube behind it. Here is a closer shot of the finished product. ![]() |
